Line Cook

Working at Night Market is more than a job—we take your development as a cook seriously.  Our Line Cooks work on everything from prep to plating and never stop learning, whether it’s working with our Chef to experiment on new dishes or through our cook book allowance.  Expect to take Western technique to Asian flavors and Asian ideas to Western ingredients.  { because its only when you understand the rules that you can break them.} We take our work seriously, but still like to have fun and liken each other to family members that we never wanted.

Sous Chef

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sous Chef (aka Sith Apprentice) to join our team.

What is Night Market looking for in our Sous Chef?

  • True passion for food and feeding people – not just “cooking”
  • The drive to always work with a sense of urgency and purpose – work smarter, not harder, homie!
  • Strong work ethic and critical thinking skills; being able to get things done on the fly thoroughly, thoughtfully, and effectively
  • A knack for organization and problem solving; “can’t” is never an acceptable solution to a problem
  • Must possess artful and precise meat/fish fabrication and rock star knife skills
  • Well-versed in the balance of the restaurant family – FOH & BOH relationship building a necessary skill
  • Preferred candidates with have 3 years minimum casual fine dining experience and ideally some experience with Asian cuisine and flavor profiles

What The Role Entails:

  • Executing menu items from start to finish, including, prepping, cooking and plating
  • Working with seasonal produce
  • Constant skill development and regular menu development with Exec Chef
  • Working collaboratively with front and back of house
  • Working well under pressure on the line while acting as a leader for the team
